I was admitted as a solicitor in 1980 and initially worked for 5 years in a law centre in the East End of London before going into private practice, most recently in Oxford from 1993 – 2005, when I specialised mainly in clinical negligence litigation. I gave up legal work when the family moved to Edinburgh in 2005, taking on several voluntary roles and running two academic conferences there before we moved back to Oxford in  2009.

 

I joined Home-Start Oxford as a trustee in December 2010, and have just completed the volunteer training course. With 5 children, and knowing the demands of 24 hour parenting, I am very committed to the kind of support Home-Start provides for families.
