My background is the NHS where I worked as a nurse and midwife and then as a manager of services for women and children. As well as my clinical qualifications, I have a Masters in Business Administration. I am responsible for overseeing the administrative support to Home Start Oxford and also have a role with Human Resources and ensuring polices are kept up to date.

 

As a parent myself and a visitor to families as a community midwife, I am aware of some of the challenges facing families today. I became involved with home Start because I was having a career break and wanted to use some of my free time and experience supporting an organisation that recognises and values the importance of parenting and offers support through a friendship model.
